The Waters of Our World (WOW) unit empowers students by having them explore their role in Arizona's unique hydrological cycle.

Using a Systems Thinking teaching model combined with project-based learning, this multi-lesson Aqua STEM unit invites students to engage, explore, and explain natural phenomenon in a whole new way.

This“World of Water” Academy will demonstrate several 3-Dimensional aspects of the new AZ Science Standards.

Combining creativity, engineering design, and science yields exceptional results in this newly designed Rainwater Harvesting Unit. Students learn the basic principles of effective rainwater harvesting and employ them in their own system design. (Construction of their design is not required.)

This Rainwater Harvesting Academy will demonstrate the 3-Dimensional aspects of the Arizona Science Standards.

Date and Time:

Monday, June 8, 2020 - 8:30am to Friday, July 17, 2020 - 3:30am

In the Riparian Habitat Exploration Aqua STEM Unit, students become riparian scientists and use systems thinking to explore the inner workings of a healthy ecosystem. Then, they take their knowledge into the field, immersing themselves in the riparian experience, encountering amazing water places, and incentivizing an ethic of water stewardship.
