All 4-12 grade teachers in Southern Arizona are welcome to join this three day academy where attendees will apply engineering design to explore the earth's water cycle, Arizona's water resources (and major water consumers), the energy demands of supplying water to Southern Arizona, and more. This academy is is taught by expert facilitators and is fully hands on and alot of fun!
The workshop cost has been reduced to $75 for this strand of STEMAZing (scholarship money is available based on need). Teachers who attend this workshop will receive ~$200 worth of teaching materials including solar panels, pumps, multimeters for measuring voltage and current, and electricity and magnetism supplies (e.g the world's simplest electrict motor). Breakfast and lunch will be provided all three days.
